Through the process of creating this painting, there have been many layers of color and brushstrokes, all playing upon each other to add depth and dimension. It tends to look very different depending upon the room it is in and the lighting. In natural light it appears more of a true turquoise, but inside my dimly-lit dining room it reads as more of a deep turquoise-green. There is a reflective gold sheen over the cloud formation and a gold shimmer throughout the piece that you can see when the light hits it at certain angles. I think someone could really have fun trying it out in different rooms and enjoying the variety of presentations it has to offer!
